what intentional may is really about

I didn't plan to start a challenge.

Honestly, I planned to just keep going, keep posting, building, shipping orders, showing up. That's what this season of building Open Day Collective has looked like for me. One day after another, trying to be intentional about it, but also just trying to keep up.

And then I started thinking about what it actually means to design your day. Not in theory. Not as a brand concept. But in real life, on a Tuesday, when your calendar is already full before 9am.

That's where the Intentional May Challenge came from.

It's not a productivity challenge. There are no metrics, no streaks to maintain, no right way to do it. It's just four weeks, four themes, and one question at a time. Small invitations to think about how you're spending your time and whether it actually reflects what matters to you.

Week one is design your day. And the prompt is simple.

What would you make time for if nothing else was in the way?

Not the productive answer. Not the responsible one. The real one. The thing that keeps getting bumped to next week, next month, someday.

I've been sitting with my own answer to that question this week. And I'll be honest, it took me longer than I expected to get to the real one.

That's the point of all of this. Not to have the answers figured out. Just to keep asking the questions.

If you want to join in, tag #intentionalmay and follow along on Instagram and tiktok. I'll be posting prompts, sharing responses, and building this month together with anyone who wants to be part of it.

every day. on purpose. 🖊️
